About this site
In this case is a blog of real-life stories about the law. If you’ve served time or served on a jury, you have a story. If you’ve been sued or been divorced, you have a story. Any legal experience is a story. Taken together, these stories show how the law can anger, disappoint, and inspire us. They show the law that shapes our daily lives.
I edit the stories. Some are sent to me; some are drawn from interviews. I keep each story close to the words and voice of each person. If you have a story, please let me know. I love to hear them.

Tracey Broderick has worked in domestic violence advocacy, family law, and book and magazine publishing. She was raised in a small Wisconsin town called Oconomowoc (oh con oh mow walk), where she spent a great deal of time in the local library. In search of more books, she went to UC Berkeley to study English Literature. This was followed by UCLA School of Law. Tracey now lives with her two sons on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., just ten blocks from the Library of Congress. She can be reached at tracey.broderick@gmail.com.
